Chalice Info for Dragons Members
This page provides information for Dragons members who wish to be placed in a Dragons team for Flaming Chalice.
Flaming Chalice is run by Dragons for the volleyball community, so our main Chalice page is focussed towards other organisations who wish to nominate teams. For more general information that they see, you can look here.
Registering to play in a Dragons Team
We typically invite members of our existing teams to play in Chalice, as well as suitable members from our training programs. We try to keep players in the same teams where possible, but that is dependent on who registers. Chalice is generally not suitable for Spikezone or StepUp participants.
Recently we have been nominating about 17-18 teams across the tournament.
Please register by 17 April if possible, to indicate your interest to play.

Volunteering for Chalice
Chalice is Dragons' biggest fundraiser, with funds raised paying for various club expenses so that members don't have to. To have a successful event, we would appreciate help from members and their families. Besides participating as a player or team supporter, there are many other ways you can help. See here for more information on volunteer roles. If you think you can help us out, please let us know by registering below. This is not a commitment, but it does help us ensure we have enough volunteers at each venue and time.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I register my own team? Yes, please see the main Chalice page for info on that. You will then pay full price of course. Please ensure that you don't sign up twice.
- Can I play in a non-Dragons team? Yes, please discuss with the person organising that team.
- Will my Chalice team have a coach? Many Dragons coaches play in their own team for Chalice, so coaching support will be limited. Those coaches who are available will generally be focussing on the least experienced teams, so it's best to assume that most teams will be self-managed during the tournament.
