The club conducts training at a number of levels.
PVL Training (Division 1) The PVL competition is the most serious, and so the training is also. |

| Training Frequency |
Once a week, starting around March and finishing in September. This coincides with the PVL competition. The keener trainers may also attend metro training for no extra cost at any time of the year. Many PVL players attend metro training during the off-season. There are sometimes unavailable dates.

Open to
|
All members may try out for the PVL teams in the pre-season. Once teams have been chosen, generally those not chosen are asked to return to training at the metro level.
|
Venue
|
Training is normally held at BBC, however sometimes we use alternative venues. Men and women train separately on different courts.
|
Cost
|
Cost of training and coaching is covered by annual membership fees. These amounts are subsidised by the club maintaining a strong coaching relationship with Brisbane Boy's College, hence we encourage members to help out by coaching BBC school teams.
|
Metro Training (Division 2) is for both metro competitors, and anyone who wants to improve their volleyball skills. Regular attendees are generally members, but casual trainers are welcome also.
| Training Level: |
Tailored to suit those attending, though we try to maintain a moderate level. A training session normally involves a combination of drills, game practice, and a small dose of fun. |
| Attendance: |
Optional, but regular attendance is encouraged, particularly for metro competitors. |

U14 training sessions are to allow younger folk (9-13) to experience the joys of volleyball with the guidance of experienced players. This is mostly about fun, with a little bit of skill development mixed in.
BBC Coaching: In order to reduce the huge cost of hiring a training venue, some of our club members coach BBC school teams in return for use of their volleyball courts. New volunteers are always welcome.
