Dragons Academy - 2026 Trial Details
Trial Details:
All players (including Academy 2025 players) must register to trial. We only run trials at specific periods in each term, with each player to attend 2 sessions unless advised otherwise. Registrants will be notified by email of trial dates/times/venue.
If a player is assessed to be at a skill level where the group is full, we will advise the trial outcome and place the player on a wait list. Should a spot becomes available, we will draw from the wait list to fill the vacant spot.
Trial Periods in 2026
The main trial will take place during 2025 term 4. If you miss the this main trial period in 2025, you can still trial during one of these trial periods in 2026. Please proceed to register for trials and we will be in touch.
Trial Periods:
- 2025 Term 4 : 13 October 2025 - 21 November 2025 (registration closes 3 Nov 2025)
- 2026 Term 1: Weeks 2-3*
- 2026 Term 2: Weeks 1-4*
- 2026 Term 3: Weeks 1-2*
*Trial weeks is subject to change each term. Trial details for each term will be published below at the second half of the previous term.
2025 Term 4 trial details for 2026 program:

Training Schedule:
Outside PVL season (usually terms 1 and 4), players will attend 2 sessions a week on weekdays. Training times are 6pm-7.30pm or 7.30pm - 9pm.
During PVL season (usually terms 2 and 3), players will attend 1 session a week on weekdays. Training times are 6pm-7.30pm or 7.30pm - 9pm.
Some advanced and all elite level players may attend additional strength & conditioning session in all 4 terms as asked.
Training schedule will be provided on a term-by-term basis via email.
Academy Program Fee Information:
Academy 2026 fee is $780 for the calendar year and is separate to all other fees such as PVL, State Champs, etc. No refunds if you decide to pull out due to reasons such as "I am busy", work, short period of time away due to school camps, short-term injuries, etc. Refund will be considered for extreme extenuating circumstances such as long-term injury, health, etc. Fees will be reduced for players who join the program late.
Registration for 2026 Academy Trials:
When registering, please indicate 2026 school year level, not 2025 school year leve.
