Dragons Academy - 2026 Trial Details
Trial Details:
All players—including 2025 Academy athletes—must register to trial. Each player attends two trial sessions unless otherwise advised. Trial dates, times, and venues are emailed after registration.
If a group is full and your skill level matches that group, you’ll be placed on a waitlist. Spots are offered as vacancies occur.
2026 Trial Periods:
Main Trial: 2025 Term 4 (registration closes 9 Dec 2025)
Additional 2026 trial windows:
- Term 1: Weeks 2–3 (registration closes 29 Jan 2026)
- Term 2: Weeks 1–4
- Term 3: Weeks 1–2
Exact weeks may shift. Updated dates are published in the second half of the previous term.
2026 Term 1 trial details:
- Dates: To be emailed to registered players
- Venue: The Gap State High School
- Time: 6pm - 7.30pm or 7.30pm - 9pm
- Trial fee: $30 for everyone; $5 or 2025 Academy players

Training Schedule:
- Terms 1 & 4 (Non‑PVL): 2 sessions per week
- Terms 2 & 3 (PVL season): 1 session per week
- Times: 6:00–7:30pm or 7:30–9:00pm
- Elite/Advanced: Additional S&C sessions may apply
Training schedule will be provided on a term-by-term basis via email.
Program Fee:
2026 Academy fee is $790 for the full year and is separate to all other fees such as PVL, State Champs, etc. No refunds for voluntary absences (busy schedules, camps, short‑term injuries, etc.). Refund are only considered in extreme and exceptional circumstances and require club approval. Fees will be reduced for late entrants.
