The Bus Trip

Boris is still the only licensed bus driver and again we'll take three days to get there.

Tuesday

We're leaving from Sharon's unit. We're late again as the bus is held up in a traffic jam. We amuse ouselves playing football and frisbee. The scenic route to Coffs Harbour and off to the Bray St Stadium. Back to the motel for pizza.

Wednesday

The inland road to Dubbo turns out to be quite a marathon and we head straight for the hall. Late night hot-dogs for dinner.

Thursday

It's finally happened, a breakdown. Both the batteries are flat. Out comes the NRMA while the troops head for the park to play football and frisbee. Eventually we head for Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. We arrive in fog so thick you can taste it and it rains non-stop. The Clarendon is some of the best accomodation yet.

Friday

Any hopes of seeing the Scenic Rim or the Three Sisters are dashed away as it is still fogged in. Fortunately someone has a picture which we all admire. Off to Canberra and back in the Edmund Barton Motor Inn.

Saturday & Sunday

Good Neighbour Tournament and the Mens Div 2 finally beat North Ryde and win the final. The celebration barbecue is held in Bruces back yard. We visit Parliament house and race to the top despite all the sprinklers.

Monday

A short trip to Cessnock gives us time to play Ultimate in the park, for some reason it turns out to be full contact. We settle in for a relaxing dinner at the RSL club.

Tuesday

A moderate trip up the New England from Cessnock to Brisbane and it's all over for another year. at 6:30pm.
