DRAGONS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALS RESULTS

The State Championships Finals held at Chandler Arena was contested by teams from North and Central Queensland as well as the always strong Brisbane teams. Congratulations to the Dragons teams for fantastic results over the weekend.

Mens A grade team finished as STATE CHAMPIONS and seemed unstoppable this year after winning 4 out of 4 tournaments including our own Flaming Chalice, the USQ invitational and the SQ Cup. The mens team consisting of Tim Walker, Eugene Loane, Jarryd Christensen, John Gadsden, Dominik Pietkun, Tim Horwill, Matt Fung, David Swan, Andrew Ewan and Ken Thomson finished the weekend undefeated. The boys are also looking strong in the Premier League sitting equal top of the table.

Womens A grade team finished 4th after previously beating their bronze medal opponent. The team was as follows: Rachel Campbell, Mel Tragenza, Sharron Hinton, Justine Mowen, Jordan Mowen, Ashleigh Dunlop, Ashlee Yates, Peta Weightman, Liz Bannon and Tammy Collins. Well Done girls!
