V-League has started with the first game at Toowoomba. Come on
Dragons these weekend tournaments are great fun. Your Tournament
Director, Ben Cooper wants to hear from you now. If you can't get
in contact with Ben, let the office know and the message will be passed
on.

Annual General
Meeting - Committee
The AGM is being held on March 17th, Sunday, at 9:00am. Members are
needed to attend to vote in the new executive committee. There will
also be other issues to vote on.
The day will also be a sign-on day, with a discount on registration
costs for those who attend. Afterwards there will be games and a
BBQ.
The agenda for the meeting is:

3. Previous minutes
4. Business arising from previous minutes
5. President's report
6. Treasurer's report
7. Election of new committee
8. Election of Premier Volleyball League Team jersey
9. Appointment of Auditor

To nominate someone for one of the following positions, you need
to fill in a nomination form and have it seconded by another member.
See Katrena Betts or contact the office to get a form. They have
to be in to the office 5 days before the AGM.

Junior Development
will be starting in the second term around April 14th at BBC. We are
also looking at starting it at MacGregor depending on volunteers and interest. |
Metro Division 2
The first season for the year is half way through. Again we have
5 mens teams and 2 womens. Unfortunately the players have stopped
reporting each game, I just need one person from each team to write 1 or

Tour - Good Neighbour
The tourists won the Div 1 Mixed comp at Good Neighbour, the women
came 5th in Honours. It was good to meet up with Rob Mudford
again, who forsook his team to be a Dragon (again) for the weekend.
The tour was memorable for playing a lot more volleyball than usual and
the go-karting. |
PVL (Premier Volleyball
League) Division 1
The PVL tryouts started on Tuesday 5th of Feb. Final cut is Mar
19th The first game is on April 5th, a Friday, at Boondall. |
PVL Jersey Competition
Quite a number of entries came in for this competition. They
have been cut down to 6 and the final design will be voted on at the AGM.
So if you want to have a say, make sure you're there. |
