Awards Ceremony
2001
The End-Of-Year Party otherwise know as the Awards Presentations will
be going casual this year.
The date is December 8th, a Saturday, and it will be in the arvo from
1:00pm onwards. It will be in The Grand Dragons' backyard (which
is pretty large) and we'll have food, soft drinks, games (including swimming)
and awards to present. Kids and Grandparents can come too.

Tour -
Good Neighbour
The tourists are off on Sunday (18th Nov) from Dave's house, bright
and early, HA! They are going to Grafton, Newcastle, Katoomba, Wollongong,
Canberra (Good Neighbour), Dubbo and Moree. They will be back Nov
28th we hope. |

PVL (Premier
Volleyball League) Division 1
The PVL tryouts next year are starting earlier than usual. We
are trying for Tuesday 5th of February 2002. That is the first week
in February.
Also we will be having a new PVL jersey for 2002. Now we have
to be quick about this so pay attention.
PVL Jersey Competition
There will be a competition for the best design for the new PVL jersey
entered in from our members. The top designs will actually be made
into jerseys (which the designer can keep) and from these jerseys the final
design will be decided. Of course there will be a prize for the final
design.
Designs have to be in by January 19th 2002
Colours have to be red black and white. |

Junior Development
This has finished for the year. Because of the coaching required
for BBC for the GPS comp in the first term next year, Junior Development
will be starting in the second term around April 14th - depending on hall
availability. We are also looking at starting it at MacGregor as well next
year. |
Grafton
- Jacaranda Festival
Grafton was a huge success for Dragons, we sent four teams - Target
Practice, Bushrangers, Team I, and The Wiggles.
Those who have never been before were rather impressed, judging by
their actions. Check out the web page for some pictures. |

Committee
Please think about taking up one of these volunteer positions next
year to help out the running of the club. The AGM will be held in
the first few months of next year when we vote and appoint new positions
for 2002. The date will be announced in the next newsletter.

Metro Division 2
The third and last season for the year is half way through. We
have 5 mens teams and 2 womens. Have you been following the reports
on the web
page?
The Runcorn teams (or Blues) and Griffith Uni are affiliated with Dragons
this season, so give them your support as well. |
Metro Jerseys
The jerseys for the Metro teams have arrived, yahoo!!, accost Vicki
tonight, however, Wednesday night training is better. They will cost
$35 for the next 3 (count them 1,2,3) weeks, then they will be going up
to $40, so please pay up. (ie. $40 from Dec onwards)
All borrowed jerseys must be returned to Vicki NOW. |
Fundraising
Just a few frogs to go, however I'm putting on a bit of weight here.
Not sure how much we've made, our Fundraising Officer is yet to report
in with the profits. |

V-League
We sent a team to Toowoomba but not Kingaroy or the finals. Come
on Dragons we usually do better than this. Next year our Tournament
Director will be pushing hard. |
Training
Training at BBC (Thursday night) is not happening until 29th Nov.
For those of you who normally go on Thurs, note it's an extra week to what
you were told. It looks like that will probably be the last week
for the year too.
Wednesday at MacGregor should be continuing to December 12th.
Will start again on January 9th. |
