Vice President's Report

Since our president is away in Canberra beating volleyball teams from around Australia I have taken it upon myself to do a Vice President's report..  Next year is rapidly approaching and thus a new year of scouring the universe for people to take up committee positions awaits.  I find myself daydreaming about next years AGM…..Ah yes……..
Well Dave it seems we have filled up all the committee positions.  It is great to see so many people taking an interest in the club's future, ensuring the smooth running and expansion of our association.
It sure is Rob.  Here we were thinking that we would have to resort to you being President.  Thank goodness those other five people decided that they would like to do the job instead.
Well it looks like everyone will be able to concentrate on playing a bit more than organising since we have so many people wanting to help.  It sure lightens the load upon a few individuals.
Yes, many hands make light work Rob.
Our organising has certainly made it easy for people in the club to take up positions.
We even have PVL and Metro managers lining up for the upcoming season.
Jane is so happy that I will be not working on Dragons stuff every time I am at home.
It looks as if the Swedish National Team are going to send a few players over for the year to play with us and help out with coaching.  With so many people wishing to coach we will be able to expand the junior coaching program into other schools.  Plus we could manage the refereeing contract for all the school based volleyball in Brisbane.
With all this promotion in the papers and the sponsorship money that will be coming in we may be able to have a free trip to Canberra for Tour this year.  Gee how nice would that be.  All it took was that little bit

of promotion and small amount of effort by those eight people who said they would write away to those companies.
The Chalice organising committee is already suggesting that we could make this year's tournament the biggest ever.
The first V-League tournament is coming up soon at Caloundra in the new stadium.  It is great to see the interest shown so far so we can get Dragons back on the map as the most travelled association in the whole of Australia.  A whole six courts with a Dragon's team playing in each time slot.  Isn't that going to be a sight Dave.
It looks like your dream of making Dragons the best volleyball association in the world is going to come true after all.

Any relationship to real events or people is purely up to you.
