Recently we saw the conclusion of the Premier League and our results in this league were equally fantastic as last year. With one first, two seconds and a third Dragons once again retained the Club Champions, certainly an effort for us all to be proud of. The elite component of our club is doing very well and don't forget that in late February early March we will be conducting try outs for Premier League for 1999. Once again we will invited every one to see if they are ready for the jump into the Premier League.
We now have a part time administrator working behind the scenes in our club. Welcome to Gaye Higgs who comes to us with an art/office admin/radio DJ background and has settled extremely well into our organisation. So when you receive that phone call or e-mail message from someone named Gaye, that's our admin officer working away to help improve the efficiency of our club.
On the touring side of things we have seen our travelling number of women reduce to the point where our teams consist more of borrowed players then club members. I hope we see this rectify itself now that the Premier League is over. The V-League competition approaches its end for the year with only two round remaining. With our best five results counting and individual players must have competed in a minimum of two rounds things are looking good for the men and academic for the women. Lets hope we can achieve some good things at the last two rounds at the Gold Coast and Gympie.
Very soon we will be launching our new social competition on Wednesday nights at BBC in Toowong. If you are interested in
